We launched our Mellady Direct Marketing enewsletter earlier this summer and the results from the first issue were astounding. We reconnected with people we hadn't heard from in years and established new connections with others whom we've seen occasionally at various events around town.

Through the ensuing phone conversations, we helped people kick start their marketing efforts. Some hired us to undertake new campaigns, while others forwarded our informative newsletter to their own clients and helped them realize the power of direct marketing.

Landscape Company Looks to Mellady Direct to Shape Branding

Stay Green Inc. is one of Southern California's largest landscaping companies, providing maintenance, tree care and plant health care services from San Diego to Ventura County.

The family-run firm reviewed its marketing materials ahead of an ambitious expansion plan, and decided it was time to enhance its brand and ensure the company's image was in line with its new direction.

As well, Stay Green wanted to establish a relationship with a firm that could coordinate their advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.

Enter Mellady Direct Marketing.

Incorporating Stay Green's trademark red rose to ensure brand continuity, Mellady renovated the company's logo, designed new letterhead, and created an integrated presentation kit company representatives could use when meeting with prospective clients.

The new look was featured in print ads, direct mail letters, and emails aimed at markets that Stay Green targeted for expansion. Press releases also helped boost awareness of the company and the services it offers.

As Stay Green moves forward with its expansion plan, it now has the dynamic marketing materials necessary to support the company's continued growth.

Law Firm's New Website Offers Resources on Array of Legal Topics

Poole & Shaffery Law Library Goes Live

Poole & Shaffery, LLP, the Santa Clarita Valley's largest business and employment law firm, wanted to upgrade its website and create an interactive resource where clients could find reliable information on a host of topics critical to their business success.

With the help of Mellady's copywriting, design, and technical experts, Poole & Shaffery recently debuted its new website: www.pooleshaffery.com.

It features an interactive law library that lets users search for topics relevant to their needs. It also archives back issues of the firm's two informative e-newsletters, "The Sidebar" and "Toxic Defender", so readers can have access to the helpful articles written by the firm's attorneys.

"We've had so many compliments on our new site," said firm co-founder John Shaffery. "Our clients really appreciate the information we have made available to them there. We couldn't have done it without the team at Mellady."

Mellady Direct Performs Behind the Scenes to Assist PAC Marketing Efforts

The end of summer doesn't just mean the start of school. It also signals the start of a new season of world class entertainment at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.

As College of the Canyons has done since it opened the center in 2004, it relied on Mellady Direct Marketing to execute one of the most critical components of its marketing plan for the new season.

Each year the College designs a striking brochure to showcase the different performers who will take the stage. More than 100,000 of them are mailed to every home in the Santa Clarita Valley, along with season-ticket holders, and guests from out of the area who have attended individual shows in the past. The mailing is part of the college's overall marketing plan for the center and is an important driver of additional season ticket subscriptions and early single-show ticket sales.

To ensure the season brochure reaches its target audience at the right time, College of the Canyons entrusts the mailing to Mellady Direct Marketing. We receive the brochures from the printer, sort them by ZIP code, and drop them at the Post Office for delivery throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
